As we have already seen this post from Jennie, I thought I would do the same. 50 facts about me you may not know already:
- I grew up with 3 sisters and no brothers.
- I am very competitive and so when I was a child and my older sister was learning to read in school, I made my mom teach me how so that my sister didn't know how to do something that I didn't.
- In school, my favorite subject was math because there is always a right answer. My least favorite was probably english, even though I was always a good reader and writer.
- I went to the Montana state spelling bee in 8th grade and spelled the word "idiomatically" wrong.
- I played hockey, basketball, and soccer as a kid but never fell in love with any of them.
- I began piano lessons at age 6 and continued until I was 19 years old.
- I love superhero movies.
- I enjoy playing racquetball and took several intermediate courses in college to improve my game.
- My top choices for a major in college were accounting or electrical engineering. I think I made the right decision.
- I enjoy swimming and my favorite stroke is the breaststroke.
- I can't stand sheperd's pie.
- I collected keychains as a kid and now have hundreds of them stored away.
- The first car I bought was a 1989 Honda Accord.
- I am very goofy with the people I am most comfortable with.
- I compulsively check Fox News every day.
- I am not good at keeping in touch with people but would always respond if someone else contacted me first.
- I like to play online flash games during a dull moment.
- I am a member of the Internet Scrabble Club and like to play quick games with people all over the world and my mother in Montana.
- I tend to let clutter accumulate, but can't let it sit for too long before it drives me crazy.
- I have never been hunting.
- If I were independently wealthy, I would go back to school and take all the classes that I always wanted to take but never did because they didn't fit in my schedule. Top of the list would be Italian, Auto mechanics, woodworking, welding, and Chinese.
- I never thought I would ever be in a choir until a friend convinced me to audition my sophomore year of high school and I've been singing ever since.
- I sang in the Montana all-state choirs and the all-northwest choir while in high school.
- I got my first "B" grade when I was a junior in college.
- I love soda but try not to drink it very often.
- If I thought Jennie would ever go for it, I wouldn't mind living in Montana again.
- I could eat hamburgers and french fries every day but I don't because that would not be healthy.
- I love holding babies and like playing with little kids because I still feel like a little kid myself sometimes.
- I love crime shows both fiction and non-fiction - Law and Order, FBI Files, Forensic Files
- I also love Mythbusters on the Discovery channel.
- I love all things technological and sometimes wonder if I should have been a computer programmer.
- I am somewhat absent-minded at times and have a tendency to run into things every once in a while.
- The only bone I have ever broken was my thumb at the age of 3.
- I take pride in having perfect eyesight and dread the day when I will need glasses.
- I am allergic to cats and like dogs better anyway.
- I am excitable and sometimes a bit impulsive in my decisions -- some turn out to be good and others not as good.
- In my memory, I have never won a door prize at any event.
- I did not ride a rollercoaster or visit any theme park until I was 23 years old.
- My highest score ever in bowling is 205.
- I never wore flip flops until Jennie bought me a pair when we were dating because I always thought the thong between the toes hurt and I didn't know how to walk and keep them on.
- I like the smell of coffee but have never drank it.
- I occasionally enjoy chick flicks and it surprises Jennie. However, the only movie I have ever even remotely liked where everybody talks in a British accent is the new Pride and Prejudice.
- My first video game system was a used Game Boy that my friend Philip gave to me.
- My mother got hooked on Tetris and has the old Game Boy to this day.
- I don't think humans have as much to do with global warming as the environmentalists and doomsayers would want us to believe. I cannot stand Al Gore.
- I don't want to ever commute for more than 20 minutes one way.
- I like teaching and mentoring on subjects I am proficient at.
- I like to sleep with a fan blowing on me year round.
- I donated plasma twice a week in college to make some extra cash.
- I am excited to be a dad in April.
