Cathey...here is a picture I know you have been anxious to see...I am sorry it took so long to post...

This is my first L&L that I get to keep..

(I have done Angel of Winter and Celtic Spring for the girls)

It took a really long time to stitch-if I am not mistaken about 4 years on and off.

I am so happy to see it on my wall.

I think I had mentioned before that my Mom would like one as well but it won't be for a long, long time..

I had planned on putting it in my bedroom but Wade said that I had put so much work into it that we should put it in the living room over the fireplace.

I considered it and made a deal.

We had these really butt ugly black wrought iron candle sconces on the wall(that I probably bought 8 or 9 years ago-they were cool then let me tell you)

I had taken them down a few months ago because I couldn't stand them any more because they were just so awful.

Do you know what did my dear husband did??

He went and bought more butt ugly ones to replace the other ugly candle holders.

I told him I would hang my piece in the living room provided that the ugly candle holders go..he reluctantly agreed and somehow they ended right back on the wall again and stayed until Wednesday when I took them down never to see the light of day again...

Here is the quilt I did for my Mom by Ursula Micheal for my Mom for Christmas

I am not sure how it is going to be finished yet..I just pressed to look like a bell pull but I may end up framing it instead..

I did find another finish to share as well.It is LK Peace,Love and a Cure.

It stitched up really quickly and I plan on doing something with it for the CIBC Run for the Cure in October

Well I hate to say it but my vacation is coming to an end too fast..it is too bad we couldn't work two weeks and have the other 50 weeks off.

I pretty much stayed close to home but I got alot of stuff done..I got my table painted..looks way cool:)I just have to put a sealer on it.

On Wednesday I got a hair cut...

I went down the the hair school and the young lady who cut my hair took about 2 hours but mind you I have lots of hair and it was her very first time ever and she did an excellent job...her instructor was right there-so I wasn't afraid at all.

Then took a friend of mine who doesn't drive up to Value Village to get some stuff for her son and she found some cool things but I wasn't really looking for anything.

I like to go and look every once in a while and she treated me to lunch which was so nice...

Thursday was a stay home day and good thing because it was so hot.....

Friday rolled around and was the day that Steph actually wanted to hang out with her mother which happens once every thousand years or so..we kind of did stuff she wanted to do which was fine with me.

We went to a dusty, terribly disorganized used book store.

She loves it there but I have a hard time because it is so dusty,my asthma kicks up so we usually don't stay too long..

We went to an awesome toy store called "Think Play" which has some of the neatest toys and stuff from when I was a kid..I love it there.

Then it was uptown where she got 6 inches of hair cut off..I couldn't believe she did it but my gosh it looks so much better.

Before

After

So today and tomorrow I plan to kick back and stitch a bunch more because
"I have to go back to work on Monday" I will be kicking and screaming every step but then the weekend would be only 5 days from then.
