Dodge Creates “MOPAR 10″ Challenger: Sticker Lovers Rejoice!!
Dodge… what the hell are you doing? Have you learned nothing from the Dodge Charger “Superbee” or the Ram pick-up “Daytona”? I just saw this video of the upcoming “Mopar 10″ Challenger and actually threw-up a little in my mouth. Instead of taking what looks to be a run-of-the-mill Challenger R/T and adding a bunch of stickers to it, why not just make the car better. How about giving it a few performance oriented bolt-on’s that actually do something like bigger sway bars, maybe a nice engine tune to make shift points more aggressive, brakes from the SRT8 or perhaps an exhaust system.
Instead you’re pawning off your lowest cost items in the hopes that enthusiasts will think they’re getting something special. You’ve opted to give us big black wheels (that do nothing), a key chain set and tire gauge (BOOYA!!), hood pins (for show only I’d assume), and an INSANE amount of MOPAR emblems. Seriously, you guys went over the top on this, by giving us no less than 18 MOPAR emblems (from what I could count in the video) and that right there takes the car from cool, to seriously uncool. You want to know what enthusiasts like… I’ll tell you. They like power, they like performance, they like a serious exhaust note, handling, braking, speed and above all, they like to not be suckered in by a bunch of stickers. As someone who lives and breathes the MOPAR brand, how about actually giving the real enthusiasts something they want as opposed to a car that we’ll see at Barrett-Jackson in a few years selling for half of what it was sold new for.
