Working with Perfect Pearls
Instructions & Tips from last week’s VIP Day
What Are Perfect Pearls?
Perfect Pearls are pearlescent pigment powders specially developed with a built in resin. Easily add shimmering highlights to all your projects because there are no extra binders to purchase or mix! Works best on dark papers. Use them dry or wet in an infinite number of innovative ways. Brush on dry or simply add water to produce luminous paints and glazes. Mix with watercolours, inks, acrylic paints, embossing powders, clay and other mediums for radiant results. Embellish your favourite stamped images using Perfect Pearls with a Versamark or Perfect Medium stamp pad. They are acid free and non toxic.
Using Perfect Pearls Dry
1. Apply Versamark or Perfect Medium ink to stamp, and press onto paper.
2. Using a small brush, gently dust chosen Perfect Pearl powder onto image.
This was one of the techniques we taught on Friday. It is very difficult to see the effect on the cards in the scan we have included at the beginning of this email. The cards are on display in store if you would like a better look!
Using Perfect Pearls Wet
- Stamp or emboss an image.
- Mix Perfect Pearls with water on a plastic or glass surface. Use to paint an image.
Using Perfect Pearls in a Mini Mister
- Fill approximately ¾ of the Mini Mister with water, add a dollop of paint and a tiny amount of Perfect Pearls. Shake very well.
- Spritz your project and let dry. This will create a shimmery effect!
This was also one of the techniques we taught on Friday.
